We seek an experienced Operations Manager to lead our dynamic Warehouse Operations Team located in Bayswater and Mornington, VIC. In this role, you will manage inbound and outbound operations and return logistics while ensuring productive, safe, and accurate processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations across Bayswater and Mornington, including inbound, outbound, transport and returns.
- Oversee outbound operations, ensuring efficient picking, packing, dispatch and delivery performance.
- Manage inbound operations, including receiving, receipting, quality control and storage of goods.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes, cycle counts, stocktakes and discrepancy resolution.
- Monitor and drive key operational performance indicators across productivity, service, quality, inventory accuracy and cost management.
- Plan and manage labour resources to meet operational requirements and customer service expectations.
- Manage labour, freight, overtime and equipment costs to maximise operational efficiency and achieve budget targets.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Transport and Finance teams to support business objectives.
- Lead, coach and develop team leaders and warehouse employees through performance management, training,
succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise business disruption.
- Ensure warehouse systems, processes and data integrity support accurate reporting, planning and decision-making.
- Manage transport and third-party logistics performance to ensure orders are delivered accurately, on time and cost-effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimisation, root cause analysis and implementation of best-practice operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, regulatory and healthcare product requirements while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
- Oversee the maintenance and utilisation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to minimise operational downtime and maximise productivity.
Your qualities will include:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing, particularly inbound flows.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and reporting tools.
- Organised and proactive.
- Outgoing motivated personality.
