About The Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. An opportunity exists to join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) team as an Operations Assistant (OA) on a full time temporary contract for 12 months (late October 2026 to late October 2027). There is potential for extension of the contract, subject to review.

The successful candidate will primarily work the second shift (10:00am to 6:30pm). There may also be opportunities to backfill the current Operations Assistant leave cover on the first shift (8:00am to 4:30pm).

The Operations Assistant is responsible for duties including:

- Assisting with procedure room turnover and cleaning.
- Transportation of patients to and from procedural labs.
- Keeping stock rooms tidy and stock unpacked.
- General duties to assist the CCL team in maintaining patient turnover in procedural rooms with minimal downtime.

Ideal Candidate

- Able to work cooperatively and proficiently within the multidisciplinary team.
- Has previous experience in a CCL/or operating suite or hospital setting.
