Reporting to the Managing Director, the role would suit someone who is organised, detail oriented, and enjoys working across a broad mix of responsibilities.

About Mutual Limited

Mutual Limited is a specialist investment manager focused on delivering strong, risk-aware outcomes for clients. We are a small, experienced team based in Melbourne, with a collaborative and practical working environment where everyone contributes across the business.

The role offers broad exposure to the day-to-day operations of an investment management business and the opportunity to work closely with senior team members, clients, and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Registry oversight - Liaise with our registry service provider to monitor investor transactions, resolve operational issues, and ensure provider adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.

- Client services - Manage incoming enquiries from clients, unitholders, and advisers, and assist with investor documentation and communications, including distribution and tax statements and trade/coupon confirmations.

- Trade & settlement support - Support the smooth settlement of internally managed mandated client trades across Austraclear, Northern Trust, Citi and Velocity, and provide holding and confirmation reports to the Portfolio Management team.

- Office & business support - Coordinate the day-to-day running of the office, including liaising with IT and building management, organising access, office supplies and equipment, and assisting with audit preparation, reporting and other business activities as required.

Skills & Experience

- 2+ years in a related role within financial services
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and see issues through to resolution
- Confident communicating with clients, advisers, service providers and internal stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with confidence working across systems, data, and reconciliations

Highly Regarded: Experience with registry providers, investor administration, transaction processing or trade settlement (Austraclear, custody platforms); familiarity with AML/KYC and financial services compliance. This is a full time, office-based role in Melbourne; flexible or part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be based in Melbourne.
