Brisbane Day Surgery was established in 1997 as a dedicated ophthalmic day surgery hospital. Since that time, Brisbane Day Surgery has grown, moved location and developed into Australia’s largest day surgery hospital. Brisbane Day Surgery is the hospital of choice for leading professionals in health care.

We are looking for dedicated Orderly/ Wardsperson for a full-time or part-time position to provide support to the nursing team to undertake a range of services that supports the well-being of patients, visitors, staff and others.

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

- The ability to maintain confidentiality

- Be empathetic and courteous at all times
- The ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An enthusiastic approach in the delivery of a high standard of care

- Excellent attention to detail

Essential criteria

- Previous experience in an Orderly/ Wardsperson Services or similar position

- Demonstrated knowledge of manual handling techniques, including patient transfers.

- Experience in a perioperative environment including operating suites.

- Experience in stores management.

- Previous theatre experience.

- Demonstrated knowledge of surface cleaning practices and techniques, including infection control.

- Proven ability to work in a manner that preserves patient confidentiality and dignity.

- Exemplary communication skills.





- Willingness and flexibility to adapt to work requirements and changes in work practices.

- Positive attitude and approach to working collaboratively as part of a team.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe working workplace.

- Current driver’s licence
