Legal Assistant / Paralegal Due to the retirement of a long-standing and highly respected team member, our client—a well-established and highly regarded mid-tier South Australian law firm—is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join its collaborative Adelaide office.
This is a rare opportunity to become part of a firm renowned for its outstanding culture, approachable Partners and commitment to developing and retaining its people. Opportunities like this don't become available often.
Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers, you will play an integral role in supporting a busy practice. Experience in Litigation or Commercial Law will be highly regarded.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-level administrative support to Partners and lawyers
- Preparing, drafting and amending legal correspondence and documents
- Diary and email management
- Opening and closing legal matters
- Preparing court documents (where applicable)
- Managing billing and client invoicing
- Liaising professionally with clients and stakeholders
- File management, scanning, archiving and document organisation
- Coordinating settlements and general practice administration
- Handling disbursements and maintaining accurate client records
About You You will be an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal who enjoys being part of a supportive team and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
You will also possess
- Previous experience in Litigation or Commercial Law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career within a respected South Australian firm
