Looking for an patient support assistant role in a collaborative, rewarding setting? This is more than just an admin role—it's an opportunity to create a positive experience for patient in the Cancer Trials Unit.
This part-time position is based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Nedlands and works Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:00pm.
Your Role in Our Future
As a Patient Services Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering quality food and hospitality services to patients within our Cancer Trials Unit.
This role focuses on creating a positive patient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Assisting patients with meal selections and dietary requirements.
- Preparing and serving meals, refreshments, tea and coffee throughout the day.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Managing food stock levels and replenishing supplies as required.
- Receiving deliveries, storing stock correctly and providing general operational support.
Your Experience To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for delivering excellent service and creating a positive experience for patients in a healthcare environment.
You must also be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a food service, hospitality, catering or healthcare support role.
- Knowledge of food handling,
food preparation and food safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive, reliable attitude with a commitment to teamwork and high-quality service.
- A Food Handler Certificate (preferred but not essential)
