Position Type: ESO – Payroll and Administration Coordinator Employment Status: Permanent - Part-time (42 Weeks / 35 Hours per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Classification Level: Grade 5

The Opportunity

St Martin’s Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our administration team. We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused individual with strong financial and administrative skills who can manage payroll and finance functions, provide high-quality front office and reception services, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the school. Key Responsibilities

- Actively support, promote and contribute to the Catholic Identity, faith formation and OLSH Charism of our school.
- Manage all aspects of the School's payroll function, including payroll processing, employee records, compliance requirements, and associated reporting.
- Perform front office and reception duties, including welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries, answering and directing telephone calls, and providing a professional first point of contact for families, staff and visitors.
- Possess excellent financial skills and knowledge to maintain an efficient administrative system.
- Perform a range of clerical duties at an advanced level, including maintaining records, data entry, preparing appointment letters, and overseeing student stationery packs.
- Work in close consultation with the Principal and Business Manager as required.
- Assist with general office administration, correspondence, filing, scheduling and other duties to support the effective day-to-day operation of the school.

About You

- Be committed to supporting the Catholic ethos, values and mission of St Martin’s Catholic Primary School.
- Have experience in payroll, finance and administrative functions, preferably within an education or similar environment.




- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills, serving as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and school administration systems, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with all members of the school community.
- Experience and/or qualifications in accounting, business management and/or general finance is highly desirable.

- Current Working with Children Check
- Full Day (7 hour) Responding to Abuse & Neglect Training
- RRHAN-EC update (where applicable)
- First Aid Training Certificate
