Protech Cairns is currently seeking a Project System Representative (PSR) to join our client, a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads, supporting the delivery of road infrastructure and maintenance projects across Queensland. If you’re highly organised, detail-focused, and enjoy working with project systems, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects while building your career within a respected government-affiliated organisation.
This is a Cairns-based role. Applicants must currently reside in the Cairns region. This is not a FIFO or DIDO position.
About the Role
This is a casual position offering full-time hours supporting road infrastructure and maintenance projects throughout the Far North Queensland region.
While primarily based in Cairns, occasional travel and working away may be required within the surrounding region depending on project requirements.
As a Project System Representative, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams by maintaining project information, managing system data, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining project management systems and databases
- Coordinating the collection, validation, and reporting of project information
- Supporting project teams with system processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Monitoring project data to ensure accuracy and quality
- Preparing reports and providing insights to support decision-making
- Liaising with project personnel and stakeholders to resolve system-related issues
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery systems
To Be Successful in This Position, You Will Have:
- Experience in project administration, project controls, business systems, or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools
- Experience within construction, civil infrastructure, engineering, or government environments will be highly regarded
- The ability to travel and work away when required
- A current Driver Licence
- Current residency within the Cairns region
