Job Description

About the role

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for two Welders to join our Toowoomba fabrication team on a full-time, permanent basis or casual basis. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys varied workshop tasks across fabrication, maintenance, repairs, pipe work and panels.

The role is predominantly workshop-based, with some day-trip repair work as required.

You’ll join a supportive crew that values flexibility, initiative and teamwork. Industry experience is ideal, but we’re also open to a greener applicant with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by:

- Perform fabrication, welding, maintenance, and repair work on plant and equipment.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Manufacture, install, repair, and assemble structural components to required quality standards.
- Complete inspections, documentation, and work records accurately.
- Follow all safety procedures, permits, and risk management requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, LEAN/5S practices, and maintain a safe, organised work environment.
- Support fault finding, problem solving, and mentoring of apprentices when required.

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

- Trade certificate in welding, boiler making or a related trade is highly regarded, but not mandatory for the right applicant
- Construction White Card
- Previous experience in fabrication, welding, maintenance, repairs, pipe work, workshop or site environments is highly regarded
- Forklift license is desirable
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to follow permits, JSEAs, risk assessments and procedures
- A proactive, flexible and reliable approach, with the ability to respond to shutdowns, urgent works and changing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously when required while still contributing to a team environment

Why join our team?

- Be part of a rapidly growing regional business
- Join a supportive, energetic crew
- Work across a diverse range of fabrication, maintenance, repairs, pipe work and project work
- Upskilling opportunities to support your career growth
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

If your experience aligns, you have full Australian work rights and you’re ready to bring a proactive, flexible and quality-focused approach to a growing team, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now!
