Our client is a global leader within the medical technology and scientific equipment sector, supporting healthcare, research and scientific organisations with highly specialised capital equipment and technology.

About the Opportunity

Working as a key logistics contact for the business, you will take ownership of the coordination, tracking and administration of equipment and shipments across Australia. This role is predominantly systems and logistics focused, requiring someone who understands the end-to-end movement of goods, can confidently work within SAP, coordinate freight and shipments and maintain visibility over high-value equipment throughout its journey.

Duties

- Coordinate import and export activities and monitor shipments through the logistics process
- Liaise closely with freight forwarders and logistics providers
- Track incoming shipments and proactively follow up outstanding or delayed freight
- Manage and track high-value equipment and demonstration assets
- Maintain visibility of equipment location, custody and expected return dates
- Coordinate demonstration equipment loans for internal commercial teams
- Process goods receipts, stock movements and other logistics transactions within SAP
- Maintain accurate logistics, shipment and inventory documentation
- Coordinate freight bookings for service parts and specialised capital equipment
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Service, Customer Service and Finance
- Ensure required documentation and approvals are in place before equipment is released




- Support inventory counts, goods receipt, picking, packing and dispatch activities as required
- Work independently to prioritise outstanding shipments, equipment returns and operational requests

Skills and Experience

- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience within logistics, import / export or supply chain role.
- Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or regulated product workplace would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience coordinating import/export shipments and freight
- Strong hands-on SAP experience within logistics, inventory or supply chain processes
- Experience working with freight forwarders and/or third-party logistics providers
- Demonstrated experience tracking shipments or assets through the end-to-end logistics process
- Experience managing high-value equipment, capital equipment or sensitive shipments highly regarded
- Strong understanding of logistics documentation, processes and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify outstanding actions and follow them through
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of priorities
- Strong computer and administrative skills
