Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a proactive and organised Property Officer to join our Property, Procurement and Contracts team for a six-month fixed-term opportunity. In this diverse role, you'll help manage Council's diverse property portfolio, ensuring leases, licences, agreements and property records are effectively administered and compliant with legislative requirements.

About the Role

As Property Officer, you will:

- Manage and administer Council's property agreements, leases and licences.
- Maintain accurate land, lease and occupancy records.
- Provide professional advice on property-related matters.
- Support property acquisitions, disposals and occupancy arrangements.
- Liaise with tenants, community groups, government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with policy and procedure reviews to improve property management practices.
- Help ensure Council meets its obligations as a landlord and property manager.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

- Qualifications in property, business, law, asset management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience managing property portfolios, leases, licences or property use agreements.
- Strong understanding of property legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.




- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver results.

Salary information: $92,526.20 to $99,797.88 per annum pro rata plus superannuation
