The exciting opportunity

- Casual role with Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm shifts currently available
- Oversee kitchen operations at our 95-bed Fairfield aged care home
- Prepare, cook and present appetising and nutritious food
- Lead, direct, inspire and mentor a capable team of Cooks and Kitchen Hands
- Manage ordering, effectively control stock and identify efficiencies to meet budget
- Encourage feedback to achieve continuous improvements

The recipe for success

- Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care, with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
- Currently available to work Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm
- Excellent understanding of food safety and proven ability meeting governing legislation
- Organised, able to work in a busy kitchen and meet deadlines, and strong customer service skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain) and unlimited working rights in Australia
