Asphalt Labouring (and HR Driving)

Blue Collar People are currently seeking a casual -> perm asphalt labourer and HR driver for an immediate start for a role based out of Welshpool!

This role would suit someone who's physically capable and looking for a consistent, physical job and likes working outside, who can drive an HR truck and is seeking a permanent role. It'd suit someone with prior civil roadworks experience too, but it's not essential. Some overtime may be required for this role and we pay accordingly.

Please note that this is not a plant operator role or primarily a driving role, it's a labouring role where you need an HR license!

We prefer Australian or New Zealand citizens or people with other full, permanent working rights in Australia for this role.

Working Holidaymakers are still welcome if you can commit to 3+ months and have suitable experience but permanent working rights holders will be prioritised.

About the Role

Responsibilities include

- Meeting at the depot at the start of the day (6am) and driving the HR truck to the jobsite.
- Setting up on site
- Asphalting work, including handling and laying hotmix and other responsibilities

Pay Rates

- Ordinary Hours: $39.03 per hour plus $22.41 per day in travel while casually employed with us
- Time and a Half:



$48.95 per hour after 7.6hrs
- Double Time: $62.93 per hour after 9.6hrs
- The above penalty rates also apply for any weekend work if ever required!
