About the role

Donnybrook Pharmacy is expanding and seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our vibrant team. We offer a distinct role: a Health Services Pharmacist focused on leading clinical consultations, prescribing, full-scope primary care services, and expanding clinical care offerings. They will also assist a Dispensary Pharmacist with managing smooth medication workflows, patient counselling, and maintaining clinical accuracy in a high-volume setting.

Key responsibilities

1. Accurate & Compliant Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescriptions, manage S8/CPOP requirements, and check non-pharmacist dispensing in line with PBA, PSA, and legislative guidelines.

2. Clinical Guidance & Patient Counselling: Provide high-level clinical guidance to the dispensary team and deliver clear, professional medicine counselling to patients.

3. Dose Administration Aids (DAA) Management: Oversee DAA processing, perform accurate final checks, review patient profiles for Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), and liaise with prescribers.

4. Health Services Delivery & Expansion: Conduct comprehensive health services (vaccinations, MedsChecks, sleep apnoea, chronic disease screenings, Absence from Work certificates) and actively identify new patient care opportunities.

5. Stakeholder & Allied Health Collaboration: Build and maintain strong referral networks and collaborative relationships with local GPs and Allied Health professionals.

6. Customer Care & OTC Supervision: Support customers across the pharmacy floor, manage e-prescriptions and app inquiries, and supervise scheduled (Pharmacy Only / Pharmacist Only) medicine sales.

7. Leadership, Coaching & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and support pharmacy interns, students, trainees,



and team members to drive professional service standards.

8. Dispensary Stock Control: Assist with ordering, monitoring short-dated stock, managing returns, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and conducting stocktakes.

9. Operational & Performance Excellence: Collaborate with management to review pharmacy reports, monitor professional practice KPIs, ensure professional standards, and maintain dispensary presentation.
