Your role at St John of God
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive Allied Health team at St John of God Bendigo Hospital on a casual basis.
The Position
- Conduct physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans based on patients’ clinical presentation, functional needs and goals.
- Deliver safe, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions across a range of inpatient presentations.
- Work collaboratively with patients and their families to establish meaningful goals and support positive functional outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment programs with support from senior clinicians where required.
- Provide hydrotherapy where clinically appropriate and within your scope of practice.
- Work closely with medical, nursing and Allied Health teams to support coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and utilise appropriate outcome measures to monitor progress.
- Participate in relevant departmental rosters, including weekend work where required.

About you
You will have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A willingness to learn and develop your clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- An organised and adaptable approach to managing a varied caseload.
- A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.
- Previous hospital or clinical placement experience will be highly regarded.
We have shifts available on weekends and for weekday leave cover. This opportunity would suit a Physiotherapist looking to gain further hospital experience while working within a supportive and collaborative Allied Health setting. The weekend shifts are on our inpatient wards, and weekday shifts may be on Wards or in Outpatients. Successful applicants will be currently registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).

We can offer you
- Grade 1: $46.02 - $63.63 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation.
