About the team

Plant Operators (Multiskilled) have the opportunity to work on an extensive range of job sites, from major construction to operational jobs, providing an opportunity to experience the varied works Council has to offer.

The Logistics Operations team provides a range of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment for internal wet or dry hire to the internal areas of Council.

What we offer

- Two permanent full-time positions available across the Toowoomba Region, primarily operating Truck and Dog, as well as Loaders.
- Our primary depot locations include Charlton, Pittsworth and Crows Nest.
- $35.54 per hour, with a base gross rate of $2,701.33 per fortnight.
- 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- Earn a range of variable allowances (on-call, overtime, construction allowance, wet weather).
- 6.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday.

About you Hold the mandatory qualifications, training and experience, as outlined below:

- Mandatory:
- Current Heavy Combination ‘HC’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Competency (White Card)



for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- SWNELP - Safe Work Near Electrical Live Parts (if not held, to be obtained within three (3) months of commencement).
- TLIF0009 - Ensure the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility) (if not held, to be obtained within three (3) months of commencement).

- Desirable (not required at commencement):

- Current Multi-Combination “MC” Class Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LL’ Front-end Loader (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LB’ Front-End Loader Backhoe (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LE’ Excavator (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LR’ Road Roller (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LS’ Skid Steer Loader (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LG’ Civil Construction Grader (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
- Dogging (DG) High Risk Work Licence.
