Tenterfield Shire Council is recruiting Casual Plant Operators to support its Infrastructure Works team across Tenterfield and Urbenville, NSW — ideal for experienced operators seeking flexible, ongoing work.

Duties

- Operate and maintain civil plant and road construction machinery
- Perform road patching, concreting and general infrastructure maintenance
- Complete daily pre-start checks and routine plant maintenance
- Install and maintain signage, guideposts and erosion control measures
- Perform traffic control duties and work safely around live traffic
- Complete plant checklists, timesheets and required documentation

Is This You?

- Certificate II in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience operating civil plant and road machinery
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to WHS standards

The following will be highly regarded:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller qualification
- General Construction (White) Card
- Certificate of Competency for relevant plant (or willingness to obtain – Council support provided)
- First Aid Certificate
