Role: Platform Administrator - Snowflake & Azure

Location: Sydney

Experience: 5 -10 years

Employment Type: Contract – 6 to 12 months

As the custodian of the platform , you will implement and evidence access/configurations defined by data and business owners. You will not own the data, but ensure governance, compliance, and operational integrity across Snowflake and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities – Snowflake

- Account & role administration ( ACCOUNTADMIN/SECURITYADMIN , custom hierarchies, least privilege)
- Warehouse sizing, auto-suspend, resource monitors, credit management
- Database/schema/object grants, masking & row-access policies, tagging
- Network policies, SSO/SCIM, key-pair auth, PrivateLink
- Data sharing, replication, failover,



Time Travel/Fail-protected settings
- Monitoring via ACCESS_HISTORY, QUERY_HISTORY, LOGIN_HISTORY for audit evidence

Key Responsibilities – Azure

- Subscription & management-group structure, RBAC assignments, Entra ID groups, PIM
- Azure Policy, landing-zone guardrails, tagging & cost controls
- Networking: VNets, private endpoints, firewall rules
- Key Vault, managed identities, secret rotation
- Resource lifecycle via IaC & controlled pipelines (no portal edits)
- Defender for Cloud, Monitor & Log Analytics for detection & evidence
