Role Description The Primary School OC & Selective Tutor is a part-time, on-site role based in Burwood, NSW. In this position, the tutor delivers small-group lessons in English, mathematics, and reasoning skills aligned to OC and Selective Test requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include planning and preparing lesson materials, teaching classes,



monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback to learners and their caregivers. The tutor is expected to assess student performance through homework, quizzes, and practice exams, and adjust teaching strategies to address individual learning needs. The role also involves maintaining a positive classroom environment, supporting student wellbeing, and collaborating with the college team to ensure consistent teaching standards.

Tasks & responsibilities of the role:

- Deliver top-quality learning experiences with Alpha One's materials
- Provide actionable and personalised feedback to the student
- Manage students appropriately to ensure successful completion of learning objectives
- Check in with students' knowledge and retention of concepts
- Share teaching insights and expertise with other members of the team during staff debriefing and training sessions

What we're looking for in a candidate:

- 2023-2025 high school graduates or current university students
- A solid desire to share knowledge and help others succeed
- Previous experience working in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills

No specific qualification is required for a successful application, but some form of previous tutoring experience is positively looked upon.
