About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data Analyst to join a major ICT program delivering new data, intelligence, reporting and case management capabilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing complex datasets and transforming information into actionable insights that support evidence-based decision-making, operational performance and intelligence-led outcomes.

Working closely with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Data Engineers and business stakeholders, you will help translate business requirements into effective data models, reporting solutions and visualisations. You will also contribute to improving data quality, governance and the adoption of analytics capabilities across the program.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational, reporting, intelligence and analytical requirements.
- Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks, opportunities and business insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, visualisations, metrics and performance measures.
- Support requirements gathering and business analysis activities relating to data, reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into data and reporting specifications for developers, engineers and architects.
- Validate data quality, accuracy, completeness and consistency across reporting and analytical products.
- Provide subject matter expertise on data definitions, business rules and reporting outcomes.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers and business stakeholders to improve data quality, governance and usability.




- Support user acceptance testing, report validation and implementation activities.
- Contribute to data literacy and business adoption initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics and business processes.
- Analyse and interpret operational, regulatory and intelligence data to identify emerging risks, trends and patterns.
- Support the development of intelligence products, analytical models and decision-support reporting.
- Present analytical findings and actionable insights through visualisations, reports and presentations.

Technical Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, analytics or a related discipline.
- Moderate to advanced experience with Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Semantic Models, Dataflows and Lakehouse concepts.
- Experience with Databricks and Spark SQL for processing and transforming large datasets.
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query and SQL.
- Experience developing and implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and business intelligence techniques.
- Experience applying effective data visualisation techniques to communicate insights.




- Ability to translate business requirements into practical data and reporting solutions.
- Experience working with data quality, governance and data management practices.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Demonstrated accountability, professionalism and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Qualifications & Certifications

Formal qualifications are not mandatory for this role.

- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
- Relevant data analytics, business intelligence or Microsoft certifications
