We are looking for a chef to join our team.
Duties:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- May select and train staff
- May freeze and preserve foods
Requirements:
- Past experience as a working Chef
- Wok cooking experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts
- Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control
- Portfolio of creative and unique dishes
- Strong multitasking ability
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct stocktakes and place orders for resupply
- Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment
- Passion and pride in providing high-quality food
