The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of reception, administration and practice management duties within a well-established Physiotherapy and allied health practice located in Melbourne's south-east. For the right applicant, there is also the opportunity for this position to develop into a broader Practice Manager role, with responsibility for leading the administration team and helping manage the day-to-day operations of the practice.

Key responsibilities
n
Managing a busy reception environment and practice diary
n
Providing a qualified, friendly and welcoming experience for patients
n
Managing appointments, enquiries, payments and accounts
n
Liaising with external stakeholders including WorkCover, TAC, Medicare, HICAPS and private health insurers
n
Assisting with billing, accounts and administrative processes
n
Using and assisting with accounting and payroll processes through Xero
n
Supporting and coordinating the administration team
n
Assisting with staff rostering and ensuring appropriate reception coverage
n
Managing and improving administrative systems and processes
n
Working closely with the Director and clinical team
n
About you
n
Previous experience in an allied health, medical or similar professional practice
n
A good understanding of systems including Medicare, WorkCover, TAC, HICAPS and private health funds
n
Experience managing a busy practice or appointment diary
n
Strong administrative and organisational skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
A high level of initiative, common sense and problem-solving ability
n
Experience using Xero or similar accounting and payroll software
n
Experience supervising or managing administration staff
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of tasks and projects
