This is a permanent full-time position commencing February 2027

The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society The Role The Principal Consultant - Examination Development will provide advice on the ATAR examination and Externally Set Tasks (EST) policy and practices. They will also assist in the strategic planning and formulation of processes for the development of examinations and ESTs.

The successful applicant will manage appointments and briefings of examiners, independent reviewers and final checkers for designated ATAR courses. They will plan, manage and monitor the development and evaluation of designated ATAR course examinations, as required by the Authority, and check the analyses of these examinations to ensure reliability and validity.

In this role you will provide advice to the School Curriculum and Standards Division Executive, committees and working parties on the development of ATAR course examinations and ESTs.
