The Principal Practitioner will enhance community safety through the delivery of specialised services supporting the management of violent extremist offenders in the correctional population. The role is responsible for conducting forensic assessments, reports, interventions, and case formulations, as well as providing advice on the operational case management for violent extremist offenders.

Requirements The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills, and experience against these essential role requirements of the Individual Contributor leadership stream:

- Specialist knowledge and experience in the assessment, management and treatment of violent extremist offenders within a correctional setting;
- Significant experience working within a clinical or forensic environment with complex clients which may include offenders who have engaged, or may engage in violent, extremist or fixated related offending;
- Experience in the interpretation of psychometric,



offender risk and/or allied health professional tools used in the assessment of offenders;
- Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, who often have competing interests, on sensitive and complex issues;
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with and provide support to a multidisciplinary team which includes clinical staff whom conduct forensic assessments and intervention;
- Ability to build and manage ongoing working relationships with a range of stakeholders including other clinicians, practitioners and experts in the forensic and mental health field;
- Achieves results through identifying and using resources wisely, responding positively to change, and managing responsibilities and projects through to completion; and
- Organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines.
