Are you passionate about manufacturing and process optimisation? We are seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our production team and play a key role in improving operational performance, driving projects and supporting the implementation of manufacturing systems and best practices.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who is looking to broaden their exposure across process engineering, operational excellence, project management and digital manufacturing systems within a multinational manufacturing environment.
Note: As part of the role, the successful candidate may initially provide support and coverage for our Continuous Improvement Coordinator during an extended period of leave. Upon the CIC’s return, both roles will work closely together, with the Process Engineer focusing primarily on technical process optimisation and engineering initiatives.
About the Role The Process Engineer will work across a broad range of manufacturing engineering initiatives, including:
- Acting as the technical lead for manufacturing systems and process data
- Process optimisation and operational excellence.
- OEE improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Manufacturing support and technical troubleshooting.
- Layout design and process flow improvements.
- New equipment integration and commissioning.
- Data analysis and performance reporting.
- Project management and implementation of new initiatives.
- Assist with implementation and support of projects including VPlant, CAPEX, automation and industrialisation projects. Participate in Kaizen.
What You'll Bring
- Around 2 years' experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement or similar.
- Exposure to a manufacturing setting, ideally within a multinational business.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Strong systems capability, including experience with SAP, Excel, Power BI, POKA or similar systems.
- Ability to analyse manufacturing processes using a scientific and data-driven approach.
- Exposure to project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Engineering degree preferred but not essential where relevant experience can be demonstrated.
