There is an exciting chance to join the global procurement network as a Procurement Business Partner – Directs based in Australia. Reporting globally to the Head of Procurement – Directs based in China, you will be focused on developing, implementing and managing procurement strategies for the Twinings & Co business in Australia and New Zealand in line with AB Foods procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Developing and implementing category strategies, from supplier sourcing through contract award to continuous contract performance management
- Building expertise and category management excellence for all categories in Directs
- Supporting the annual budget process in planning and defining standard pricing
- Conducting tender processes with national and international suppliers using e-sourcing tools and responsibility for preparing and monitoring contracts cover positions.
- Supporting the development of best-in-class tools and process in alignment with the Digital Transformation manager
- Leveraging supplier resources for optimising value delivery under consideration of Category strategies
- Looking outside to build business knowledge on new technologies/trends bringing supplier innovation into business as appropriate
- Working closely with NPD, Quality,



Technical Manufacturing teams to support the business innovation initiatives
- Driving activities to ensure sustainability target for direct procurement for the assigned categories
- Ensuring supply availability of products and services for all sites and maintain contractual coverage and liabilities management across categories are in place
- Assessing risk, to build appropriate business continuity plans (BCP) and executing risk mitigation activities for all responsible categories, sites and markets.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to understand business needs, align activities, continuous development of supplier base to enable value delivery
- Partnering with Social Impact and Quality teams to define ethical sourcing standards for categories and supplier conformance
- Conducting regular market research and benchmarking for assigned categories
- Driving supplier performance management with supplier in the assigned category and conduct at least on annual base an annual supplier rating to improve the supplier performance

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in procurement with a qualification in procurement preferred
- Experience with Supply Chain and manufacturing procurement of Direct goods and services
- Solid negotiation skills and ability to manage suppliers ensuring a smooth end- to end process from supplier sourcing to tender & contract stage
- Strong business partnering with the ability to influence, drive changes and manage key stakeholders and external suppliers
- Experience working cross functionally preferably on a global level with proven experience in executing procurement strategies
- Experience in FMCG will be highly desirable
