THE ROLE We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to join us on a permanent full time basis based in our Perth Office. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise, collaborate with experienced professionals, and make a meaningful impact in an exciting and supportive environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials,
equipment, and services as per company requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to meet operational needs.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse procurement trends and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Assist in resolving supplier-related issues, including disputes and non-conformances.
- Other duties as required by the Contracts Manager.
THE PERSON
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.
- Experience in the mining industry is desireable.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and contracts management.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Pronto, Procore and SharePoint or similar systems is desireable.
- Attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
