Job Summary
We’re looking for a Production Coordinator to support our Head Designer across the day-to-day coordination of product development and production.
This is a highly organised, hands-on role focused on execution, follow-up and keeping the production process moving. You’ll work under the direction of the Head Designer, taking briefs, comments and instructions and ensuring they are clearly communicated and followed through with production partners.
What You Will Be Doing
- Coordinate samples and product development across multiple categories, including womenswear, shoes and outerwear.
- Communicate approved design and production instructions to suppliers and follow up on required changes.
- Manage sample comments, resamples, approvals and confirmations.
- Maintain critical production timelines and proactively chase outstanding actions.
- Coordinate fabric, trim and other production confirmations.
- Check samples against provided specifications and flag any issues to the Head Designer.
- Assess garment construction, fabric and trim viability to ensure products meet SABO’s quality and production standards.
- Prepare for and participate in fit sessions, providing technical recommendations and documenting accurate fit comments.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Designer to ensure fit, functionality and execution align with the approved design intent.
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for production partners, ensuring instructions and feedback are followed through accurately.
- Maintain accurate production trackers, records, photos and shared files.
- Organise and manage samples for internal meetings, shoots and other team requirements.
- Manage internal fabric library.
- Manage hanger appeal and tagging requirements.
- Support the Head Designer and wider team with production-related tasks as required.
What We're Looking For We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and proactive, who enjoys the practical side of getting product made.
You’ll ideally have
- 3+ years experience in production coordination, product development or a similar role.
- Experience working with suppliers or production partners.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working from specifications and instructions.
- Excellent follow-up and time-management skills.
- Clear, professional communication.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets and digital systems.
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the team as priorities change.
This is a production-focused role. Creative and design direction sits with the Head Designer,
with the Production Coordinator responsible for coordinating and executing that direction accurately and efficiently.

From time to time, you may be asked to take on tasks that do not appear in this Position Description. Some will sit squarely within your wheelhouse, and some will simply be because the business needs a hand. This is part of how SABO works: we are a team first, and every Team Member contributes to what needs to be done, provided the task is reasonable, safe, and within your capability.
Availability
- You have a right to work 38 hours per week in Australia with no sponsorship requirements.
- We are looking for someone who can perform the bulk of the full time hours between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday in the office.
