Working at CQUniversity
The Digital Services Directorate leads the planning, development and improvement of CQUniversity’s enterprise systems, supporting teaching, learning, research and corporate services across the University. We’re seeking an experienced Project Coordinator who thrives in complex projects and brings a strong focus on delivery, stakeholder engagement, change and continuous improvement.
You’ll coordinate medium to large projects across the University, working with project leads, teams and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are well planned, coordinated and successfully delivered. You’ll also coordinate change management and communications to support adoption.
Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinate medium to large projects, including planning, scheduling, risks, dependencies and reporting
- Support Project Managers and project leads to deliver milestones and maintain momentum
- Coordinate change management and communications, including impact assessments and engagement plans
- Facilitate workshops, meetings and project activities
- Research complex issues and develop recommendations to support decision making
- Prepare high-quality project documentation, reports, policies and communications
- Provide guidance and coaching to project managers, coordinators and support staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project and change management practices

Position Requirements
Essential
- Demonstrated experience coordinating medium to large projects in a complex organisation
- Strong understanding of project management and delivery methodologies
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, communication and change coordination
- High-level written communication skills, including reports and project documentation
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate with autonomy
- Relevant degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training
Desirable
- Project Management and/or Change Management certification
- Experience working in higher education or large public sector environments
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and digital tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project)
