Why work for Greystar?
At Greystar, we're building more than just homes - we're building communities. As a global leader in real estate investment, development, and property management, Greystar is rapidly expanding across the Australian market. We're proud of our inclusive culture and our focus on learning, wellbeing, and long-term career development.
You'll benefit from flexible hybrid work options, access to wellness programs, birthday leave, and tailored learning pathways designed to support your growth.
Opportunity Overview
Greystar is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and completion of major refurbishment works across two purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) assets in Adelaide, South Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently on the contractor or consultant side - or fresh out of a graduate program - to transition to the client / developer side of the industry. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you'll coordinate between the head contractor, internal teams, and external stakeholders to keep works properly sequenced and on track.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract aligned to the delivery of the refurbishment works, with the opportunity for future permanent engagement depending on performance and pipeline. It's a dynamic, hands-on role working within a live, occupied building, and offers genuine exposure to how a major developer manages capital works from the client side.
What You'll Be Doing
- Keep two live Adelaide refurbishment projects on track - overseeing the head contractor's delivery against spec and timeline, and flagging issues before they become problems.
- Get hands-on through regular site visits and inspections, coordinating with the contractor to sequence works around residents and building operations.
- Be the connective tissue between the contractor, Greystar's Construction & Development team, Operations, and residents - keeping communication sharp and safety standards front and centre.
- Own the reporting - progress updates, quality reports, and monthly / quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and capital partners.
- Support procurement for client-supplied materials and FF&E;, and help drive smooth project and unit handovers with Operations and Asset Management.
About You
You're organised, proactive, and genuinely curious about how buildings get built and managed - not just delivered. Maybe you've just wrapped up a graduate program, or you're a year or two into a coordination or assistant PM role and ready to see how the other side of the table operates. Either way, you thrive on variety and take pride in keeping the details straight when a lot is moving at once.
- A qualification (or working towards one) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field, plus early experience in a graduate, Project Coordination, or Assistant PM role - recent grad program completers especially encouraged to apply.
- Clear, confident communication and the ability to build trust across contractors, internal teams and residents.
- Comfort juggling a rapid-moving project using the tools of the trade; live-environment experience is a bonus, not a must.
