Lead a nationally significant digital health initiative focused on improving the consistency, interoperability and clinical safety of medicines information across Australia. This opportunity sits within a major federal digital health environment and requires a rare combination of complex project delivery capability and knowledge of Australian medicines terminology and datasets.
About the Role
As Digital Health Project Lead, you will lead the planning and delivery of a national medicines terminology initiative supporting broader improvements to the way medicines information is structured, shared and used across the Australian healthcare system.
You will work across government, healthcare, technology and industry stakeholders to coordinate delivery, manage complex dependencies and provide authoritative advice on medicines terminology and data.
The role combines hands-on project leadership with stakeholder consultation, governance, strategic advice and specialist digital health expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, delivery, budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies and outcomes.
- Provide advice on Australian Medicines Terminology and national medicines datasets.
- Coordinate engagement across government agencies, software vendors, healthcare providers, peak bodies, industry representatives and consumer groups.
- Translate complex clinical,
technical and data-related information into clear, actionable advice.
- Support improvements to interoperability, information sharing and safer medicines management.
About You This is a specialist role requiring experience with Australian Medicines Terminology, supported by a understanding of relevant national medicines datasets and the broader digital medicines ecosystem.
You will bring
- Knowledge and practical experience working with Australian Medicines Terminology.
- Knowledge of medicines datasets such as the PBS, ARTG and National Product Catalogue.
- Experience leading complex digital health or health information projects within multi-vendor environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health informatics, pharmacy, information management, project management, digital health or a related discipline.
Experience with electronic prescribing, real-time prescription monitoring, interoperability standards, government procurement or contract administration would be highly regarded. Why Apply?
