About the Role

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to drive meaningful environmental governance and business transformation? A leading QLD State Government Department is seeking a high-performing Project Lead to drive the planning, design, and implementation of a modern Environmental Management System (EMS). As part of a broader professional services transformation program, you will spearhead project governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and change readiness to ensure the EMS is successfully embedded across large-scale operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive full end-to-end project delivery from planning through to execution and delivery assurance.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, dependencies, risk frameworks, and executive-level reporting.
- Oversee the establishment of an EMS aligned with modern regulatory standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technical environmental specialists, operational teams, and executive leaders.
- Lead change initiatives and vendor/contractor alignment to embed long-term sustainability and compliance outcomes.

About You To excel in this position, you will bring extensive end-to-end project management experience within complex, enterprise environments:

- Proven track record leading business transformation or system implementation projects using recognised PM methodologies.
- Strong experience delivering environmental, regulatory, compliance, or enterprise management system projects.
- Exceptional facilitation skills with experience drafting business cases, implementation plans, and executive performance reports.




- Familiarity with public sector environments, facilities management, infrastructure, asset management, or construction environments.
- Hands-on experience uplifting EMS frameworks aligned with ISO 14001 standards or similar regulatory guidelines.
