Project Manager – Exhibitions and Events

AAM EVENTS is a market leader in the Australian events & exhibitions industry with our QLD branch conveniently located in Brendale. We are a very tight-knit team and help each other out in all areas of the business. About the Opportunity

You will be required to manage and oversee all facets of event and exhibition builds, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with client and company expectations. You will deliver operational excellence through the efficient management of stock, people and processes.

Note: this position is a very hands-on role, requiring the successful candidate to be proficient in the use of hand tools, building exhibition stands and being able to work at height - you will be expected to load & check jobs, drive interstate and help on site with whatever needs doing to ensure a successful install.

In this role, you will:

· Be able to plan, lead, organise and control projects.

· Provide clear and effective leadership to your team

· Schedule labour requirements

· Build and maintain client relationships both on and off site

· Ensure your team adheres to and complies with legislative OH&S; requirements

· Develop achievable project schedules in line with client and venue requirements

· You will have a hands on approach in running crews of supervisors, casual and contract labour and also external contractors.





Must be available to work on weekends and interstate The ideal candidate will possess:

. MR licence

· A passion for events and exhibitions

. A 'can-do' attitude

· The ability to motivate, mentor and coach crews

· Previous Project Management experience in events and / or exhibitions industry highly desirable

· Trade qualifications and / or degree in Business, Project Management or related qualifications looked upon favourably

· Strong systems, troubleshooting, analytical and time management skills

· Ability to travel as required and on weekends is a must

Required education

- Graduated Year 12

Required experience:
- Project Management: 2 years

Required Licence:
- Drivers licence

- Forklift licence
- MR Licence ( would be an advantage but not required for the right candidate)
