About the role

Our client is a well-known CBD firm that have a great reputation in the Property space. Their team is currently growing and is looking for a lawyer with a genuine interest in the litigious side of property law. You will work closely with experienced property specialists across a broad range of matters, including:

- Building defect disputes
- Adverse possession and boundary disputes
- Owners Corporations disputes
- Disputes between lot owners, Owners Corporations, contractors and managers
- VCAT and Court proceedings
- Property disputes and title issues
- Easement and caveat disputes
- Plans of subdivision and governance matters
- Leasing and licensing matters
- Compulsory acquisition
- Broader property and Owners Corporations advice

The role will provide exposure to high-quality work and the opportunity to take carriage of matters, deal directly with clients and develop your own expertise. For a more senior lawyer, there will also be opportunities to mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals as the team continues to grow.

About you

- Strong litigation and dispute resolution experience
- Experience in property law, Owners Corporations or a related area




- A genuine interest in contentious property matters
- Excellent drafting and attention to detail
- Strong client communication skills
- A responsive and practical approach to client service
- The ability to manage matters autonomously
- A team-oriented approach and willingness to support junior team members
- Experience with building defects, adverse possession, Owners Corporations disputes or other property litigation will be highly regarded
