About the role

n

MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Full Time Security Officers to join our team at our prestigious university site in the Gold Coast. In this roving position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the campus, by conducting foot patrols, securing buildings, and providing support to students, staff, and visitors.

n

Two full time opportunities available: a set-roster Night Shift Guard position and a Reliever role requiring 24/7 availability with no set roster.

n

Duties include but are not limited to:

n

n
- Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and buildings are secure.
n
- Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required.
n
- Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
n
- Provide clear directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors to ensure they can navigate the campus efficiently.
n
- Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity,



ensuring all information is documented.
n
- Communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with staff, students, and visitors.
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Full Australian working rights.
n
- Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
n
- Valid QLD Security licence (crowd control component preferred)
n
- Valid Drivers licence
n
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
n
- 24/7 Availability required, for the Reliever position
n
- or N/S availability for following roster
n
- Week 1: Monday-Wednesday, 4:00pm-12:00am; Thursday-Friday, 8:00pm-8:00am.
n
- Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 12:00am-8:00am.
n
- Week 3: Monday-Tuesday, 4:00pm-12:00am; Friday-Saturday, 8:00am-8:00pm
n
