Company Background

Our client, a European-based healthcare company, has an extraordinary story to tell, including most recently the release of a game-changing medical device that has improved the lives of millions globally.

Locally, they are now the dominant player with their cutting-edge technology and are poised to expand further throughout the region.

Recent Senior Management changes and a subsequent role realignment have opened up this opportunity for an experienced and qualified accountant to join as Head of Finance.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director locally, and to the Europe-based VP Finance, this role is the perfect blend of accounting, leadership, compliance, and commercial. It leads an established Finance team of five, including two Senior Accountants and three transactional accounting staff.

- Partner with the Managing Director to support financial performance, revenue growth, cost management, and compliance with corporate finance procedures.

- Lead budgeting and forecasting, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, business reviews, and budget submissions for approval.

- Oversee accounting and control functions, including month-end close, accounts payable, accruals, payroll, fixed assets, and reporting.

- Strengthen internal controls and processes by designing, reviewing,



and improving finance procedures and governance frameworks.

- Provide financial leadership and compliance oversight, including accounting issues, corporate tax, GST filings, transfer pricing, statutory reporting, and audit support.

- Deliver commercial and strategic analysis, including risk and opportunity assessment, volume/rate/mix analysis, profitability analysis, financial modelling, and business cases.

- Support business decision-making through financial insights, variance analysis, trend monitoring, and investment analysis.

- Identify improvement and growth opportunities, including cost reduction, profitability improvement, process optimisation, and commercial opportunities.

Your Background

If you are keen to be considered, it’s worth knowing that our client is particularly interested in candidates with:

- Strong, all-round ‘Head of' experience across Accounting and FP&A;

- An extensive controls and compliance foundation.

- Ideal industry experience includes Medical Devices, Consumables, FMCG, Manufacturing (or any inventory-based business)

- CA / CPA / CIMA qualified

Experience working in a European-headquartered business would be the gold ticket!
