About the role
We are looking for a highly experienced Workforce Planning Team Lead to drive workforce planning, mobilisation and resource optimisation activities,
ensuring the successful delivery of personnel requirements across multiple projects and operational areas.
Reporting into the Workforce Planning Manager, you will be responsible for forecasting workforce requirements, coordinating complex mobilisation activities, ensuring workforce compliance, and supporting project teams with strategic resourcing solutions. This role also provides leadership and mentoring to team members while driving continuous improvement across workforce planning and mobilisation processes.

Duties will include but not limited to
- Lead workforce planning and mobilisation activities across multiple projects, ensuring personnel requirements are met safely, efficiently and on time
- Develop workforce forecasts and resourcing strategies aligned with project demands and business objectives
- Partner with Project Managers, operational leaders and clients to deliver workforce solutions that support successful project execution.
- Manage complex mobilisation logistics, ensuring employees are compliant, prepared and ready for site mobilisation
- Analyse workforce trends, project pipelines and resource availability to support strategic workforce planning and decision-making
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to Workforce Planning Coordinators and Administrators, fostering a high-performing team culture
- Act as a key escalation point for workforce planning and mobilisation challenges, resolving resource clashes and competing priorities
- Drive continuous improvement across workforce planning, mobilisation and compliance processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure workforce compliance with client, company and legislative requirements, maintaining operational readiness across all projects
Requirements & Experience Needed
- Relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in workforce planning, mobilisation, logistics coordination,
or resource management within industrial or project-based environments
- Proven ability to develop workforce forecasts, manage resource requirements and deliver effective workforce planning strategies
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across multiple levels of the business
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching and supporting team members
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and make informed decisions
- Experience managing workforce scheduling, mobilisation logistics and operational readiness to support project delivery
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, employees and operational leaders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
