Support vital services for older members of our community
Western District Health Service is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Aged Care Services Administration & Accounts Officer to join our Aged Care Services team.
This important role provides administrative and financial support across a range of community and aged care programs, including Support at Home, Community Support Services, the Transition Care Program and Community Transport. You will play a key role in ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively for clients, residents, families, staff and external stakeholders.
Working within a busy and supportive team environment, you will contribute to high-quality service delivery through accurate financial administration, responsive customer service and effective coordination of a range of aged care support activities.
What You'll Be Doing
Administrative Support
Provide professional administrative support across Aged Care Services, ensuring information, documentation and records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Accounts & Financial Administration
Reconcile Home Care Package accounts, manage invoices, follow up outstanding accounts where appropriate and assist with purchasing and payroll-related activities.
Service Coordination
Support the coordination of Community Transport, Property Maintenance, Home Modifications and client service changes while ensuring service information remains current and accurate.
Data Management & Compliance
Maintain the Service Provider Register, upload information to Medicare and government systems, and ensure reporting requirements are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
Rostering & Team Support
Create and administer Community Support Worker rosters,
provide leave coverage across the team and support the effective operation of Aged Care Services.
Continuous Improvement
Assist with process improvements, system enhancements and the effective use of technology to support quality service delivery across the department.
What You Bring
- Qualifications in administration, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant administration and/or finance experience
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working with confidential information and maintaining privacy requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team workplace
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current NDIS Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Rights to work in Australia
