- Marketing Manager with full ownership of the marketing function
- Drive commercial growth through data-led marketing strategies
- Lead paid digital, campaign performance and venue-specific marketing
About the Company
An established hospitality group is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to bring commercial thinking, structure and creativity across a diverse portfolio of venues.
One of the things we genuinely love about this business is the CEO. They’re one of our favourite people to work with: commercially sharp, decisive and someone who gets things moving, while also being warm, calm, down-to-earth and genuinely good fun to work alongside.
There’s no big ego or unnecessary noise. The approach is very much about bringing people together, listening to ideas and giving good people the space and trust to do what they do best. There’s also a real mentoring side to the leadership style — working closely with people, helping them grow and supporting them to become better at what they do. It’s had a big influence on creating a culture that feels ambitious and commercially focused, but still very human and enjoyable to be part of.
This is a role for a marketer who enjoys being close to the business. The portfolio spans pubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment-led venues, each with its own identity, audience and trading rhythm. Rather than applying the same marketing approach across every venue, the opportunity is to understand what drives each business and build activity that has a genuine impact on customer traffic and commercial performance.
The group already has robust brands, an established presence and creative capability. What they’re looking for now is someone who can bring those elements together under a more considered marketing strategy, creating stronger forward planning and a clearer connection between marketing activity and business results.
The Opportunity
Taking ownership of the marketing function, you’ll work closely with senior leadership while leading and coordinating existing marketing, creative and external resources.
The role has a strong commercial focus. You’ll use customer behaviour, booking data, trading patterns and campaign performance to understand where the opportunities sit across the portfolio, then translate those insights into thoughtful venue-specific marketing plans.
That could mean building trade during quieter periods, improving the effectiveness of paid campaigns, developing customer acquisition and retention strategies, supporting activations and events, or identifying opportunities to make more of an already successful trading period.
Paid digital will form an important part of the role, particularly Meta and Google, alongside reporting, analytics, campaign strategy and performance measurement. The expectation isn’t simply to deliver activity; it’s to understand the relationship between marketing investment, customer behaviour, covers, revenue and ultimately profitability.
There’s also a broader leadership element to the role. You’ll bring greater structure, consistency and accountability to the marketing function, while giving each venue the flexibility to retain its own identity and character.
About You
You’ll be an experienced marketer who understands how to turn brand and marketing activity into real-world customer behaviour. Hospitality experience would be highly relevant, although backgrounds in lifestyle, leisure, entertainment or other multi-site consumer businesses could also translate well.
You’re equally comfortable with the creative and commercial sides of marketing. You understand paid digital, reporting and analytics, but also recognise that strong hospitality marketing starts with understanding the customer,
the venue and the reasons people choose to visit.
Your approach will matter just as much as your technical capability. This is an established business with experienced people and existing ways of working, so the right person will bring calm confidence rather than change for the sake of change. You’ll take the time to understand what is already working, build credibility with the team and introduce greater structure and commercial discipline in a considered way.
You’ll be confident enough to challenge when required, collaborative enough to bring people with you and comfortable taking genuine accountability for the performance of the marketing function.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded hospitality group with a strong portfolio of brands and take genuine ownership of marketing performance across the business.
There’s already plenty of momentum across the venues, with real scope for a commercially minded marketer to build on what’s working, identify new opportunities and make a measurable impact as the group continues to grow and evolve.
What’s On Offer
- Potential four-day working week
- Competitive senior-level salary package
- 50% discount across the group’s venues
- Monthly dining credit across the group’s venues
- Genuine ownership of the marketing function
- Direct access to senior leadership and decision-makers
- Autonomy to shape the marketing direction across a strong portfolio of hospitality brands
- Freedom to lead without being closely managed
For a marketer who loves hospitality, understands what drives commercial performance and wants genuine ownership of both strategy and results, this is an exciting next step.
