Job Description

The Opportunity

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end procurement activities, drive supplier engagement, support contract award processes, and provide expert commercial advice to project stakeholders. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Legal, Commercial and Delivery teams to achieve safe, compliant and value-driven procurement outcomes.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

- Develop and implement procurement and category strategies aligned to project objectives.
- Lead major sourcing activities including EOI, RFP, RFT, tender evaluation and contract negotiations.
- Manage complex, high-value procurement packages and supplier relationships.
- Provide commercial advice, market intelligence and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with governance, probity and procurement frameworks.
- Support supplier performance, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across project teams, contractors and suppliers.

The Expertise You Bring

- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and category management within complex operational, infrastructure or project environments.
- Proven ability to lead high-value and complex tendering processes, contract negotiations and supplier engagements.
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to assess risk, identify opportunities and deliver value-for-money outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing supplier performance and fostering collaborative supplier partnerships.




- Sound understanding of procurement governance, compliance requirements and contractual frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- A proactive, collaborative approach aligned with Fremantle Ports' values and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
