Tea Tree Gully Veterinary Hospital is looking for a qualified Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse to join our team full-time, with a particular focus on dental nursing.

We’re a large, busy, independently owned veterinary hospital. We’re friendly, we enjoy coming to work, and we genuinely like working together but we’re also serious about providing excellent veterinary care and developing highly skilled nurses.

This role is a little different from the standard veterinary nursing position.

YOUR DENTAL ROLE

At least three shifts each week will be spent working primarily with our dental team, giving you the opportunity to build real confidence and expertise in veterinary dentistry.

You’ll be involved in the complete dental workflow, including:

- Preparing and admitting patients for dental procedures
- Anaesthetic monitoring and patient support
- Taking diagnostic dental radiographs
- Assisting with comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment (COHAT)
- Dental charting
- Patient recovery and post-operative care

You don’t need to arrive as a dental expert. What we’re looking for is someone who enjoys dentistry and wants the opportunity to become exceptionally good at it. The remainder of your week will keep your general nursing skills sharp, with shifts across medical nursing, surgical nursing, consulting and reception.

You’ll need

- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a degree in Vet Tech
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Kindness and empathy towards patients, clients and your teammates
- Reliability and a willingness to take responsibility
- A genuine desire to keep learning and developing your clinical skills
