Auriga Aviation is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality and Safety Specialist to join our Aviation business unit based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Head of Safety & Quality - Aviation, this fixed-term role plays a critical part in maintaining and continuously improving our Safety and Quality Management Systems while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and international standards. This is role is a maternity cover for a 12-month fixed-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in quality, safety, compliance, auditing, or document control within a highly regulated environment such as aviation, marine, transport, defence, mining, or similar industries.

About the Role The Quality and Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting key quality and safety management functions across the Aviation business unit in addition to maintaining and continuously improving Auriga's centralised document control framework.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Quality Management System

- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Auriga's Quality and Safety Management Systems.




- Coordinate the organisations response to safety and quality reports and improvement opportunities.
- Perform investigations and root cause analysis activities.
- Facilitate the development of risk treatment and corrective action plans.
- Track and monitor risk treatment and corrective action plan implementation.
- Assist with the management and close-out of findings, discrepancies, and customer feedback.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit activities.
- Facilitate performance monitoring and measurement and assist with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Prepare documentation packages for regulatory inspections, surveillance activities, and external audits.

Operational Documentation Management

- Maintain and administer controlled company documentation and registers.
- Manage document review, approval, release, and archival workflows.
- Maintain document lifecycle records and audit trails.
- Maintain document integrity across all systems and user platforms.
- Ensure document control systems align with applicable regulatory requirements and international standards.

About You You are a proactive and analytical professional who enjoys working within structured management systems and has a strong commitment to safety, quality,



and operational excellence.

Skills and Experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Strong document control, records management, and organisational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience conducting audits and/or supporting compliance activities.
- Investigation and root cause analysis capability.
- Professional and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Resilient and adaptable in a agile operational environment.

Knowledge

- Document control and document management principles.
- Quality and Safety Management System concept and construct.
- Investigation and Audit practices and processes.
- Aviation and/or marine regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

Essential

- Lead Auditor qualification.
- Safety Investigator qualification or demonstrated investigation experience.

Desirable

- Experience within aviation, marine, defence, transport, or another highly regulated industry.
