Your impact

Join our project team supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure project, where you'll play a key role in providing onsite quality surveillance, assurance and compliance oversight throughout construction. Working as part of the owner's team, you'll spend most of your time in the field monitoring construction activities, verifying contractor compliance, reviewing quality documentation and supporting project reporting.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements. Your ability to identify quality risks, gather project information, provide evidence-based reporting and support quality assurance processes will directly contribute to the safe and successful delivery of a nationally significant infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site-based quality surveillance, inspections and verification activities across active construction work fronts
- Monitor contractor compliance with project requirements, specifications, quality procedures and approved work methods
- Review quality documentation, inspection and test records, and support hold point and witness point inspections
- Gather site data, maintain accurate records and provide factual reporting on construction progress and quality outcomes
- Identify, investigate and assist in the resolution of quality issues, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Collaborate with contractors, project teams and stakeholders to support safe, compliant and high-quality project delivery.

Here's what you'll need We're looking for a quality professional who enjoys being onsite, working closely with project teams and contractors to ensure construction activities are delivered safely and in accordance with project quality requirements.



You'll bring a practical understanding of quality assurance and surveillance processes, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to build effective working relationships across a fast-paced project environment.

Experience supporting major infrastructure, construction or industrial projects will be highly regarded.

- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline
- Experience in a Quality Engineer, Site Engineer, Surveillance Engineer, Project Engineer, Quality Assurance or similar site-based role.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking construction inspections, quality surveillance, compliance monitoring and verification activities
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, construction documentation and inspection processes, including the review of quality records and test documentation
- Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work independently in a site-based environment
- White Card required. Experience on major infrastructure, transport, rail or industrial projects and/or an RIW Card will be highly regarded.
