We are seeking an experienced Quality & Safety Leader to join our team in a site-based role. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about quality and workplace safety, who enjoys working closely with operational teams to drive high standards and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting into the site Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the site's Quality and WH&S; standards. You will work closely with the Site Manager, operations and the broader SMYA team to ensure compliance, identify opportunities for improvement and build a solid safety and quality culture on the site.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage maintenance of quality control systems to meet BRC, HACCP and customer requirements.
- Working closely with the National Team to investigate incidents and hazards, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support the site in maintaining compliance with company policies, WH&S; legislation, BRC, Food Safety standards and customer requirements.
- Partnering with the Site Manager and SMYA WHS Team to support WH&S; compliance, incident investigations and reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation, follow-up actions and maintaining site readiness.
- Support the planning,



implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of quality and safety initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders to ensure quality and safety standards are understood and consistently applied.
- Promote a proactive safety and quality culture, encouraging employees to identify risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.

About You

You will be an experienced Quality or Safety leader who enjoys being hands-on and site based, working alongside operational teams and leaders to achieve high standards.

Your experience will include

- 3-5 years experience in a Quality, safety and/or WH&S; role.
- Experience within the food, beverage, wine or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with HACCP, BRC and Food Safety standards.
- Strong investigation, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and practical solutions.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or relevant safety qualification will be highly regarded.
