Records Assistant Officer

- Location – Silverwater (Ground Floor of the Silverwater Correctional Complex)
- Employment type – Temporary up to 12 months with possibility extension
- Grade - Clerk Grade 1/2
- Salary – $78,000 pa - $84,799 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Records Management Officer to join our team and play an important role in supporting the management of information across DCJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, reliable, and eager to build valuable skills in records management, administration, customer service, and information systems.

Working in a dynamic records and warehouse environment, you'll help ensure important information is secure, accurate, and accessible, supporting both internal teams and the community we serve. You'll gain hands-on experience, work alongside supportive colleagues, and contribute to meaningful outcomes across the organisation.

What you’ll do

- Maintain, retrieve, and track physical and digital records in accordance with DCJ standards and legislative requirements.
- Accurately update databases and record movements to ensure information remains reliable and up to date.
- Provide excellent customer service and support as a first point of contact for enquiries.
- Coordinate multiple tasks and competing priorities while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Undertake physical duties safely, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and moving files within office and warehouse environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting efficient and effective records management practices.

- Available to work full-time in an office-based role.
- Able to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check.
