In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Providing leadership to multi sites across Northern Region – comprising of 12 branches across Queensland, Current Zealand and Papa New to promote Work Health, Safety & Environment best practices and continuous improvement.
- Builds strong relationships across functions to ensure the organization drives a strong interdependent HSE culture.
- Manages planning actions to set targets and objectives for the site and drives actions to completion.
- Leads an effective support model throughout the site through training, skills development and internal communications.
- Provide support with risk management and risk mitigation to ensure effective controls are in place.
- Managing workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return-to-work programs.
- Engage in visible leadership with site presence and engagement to ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work.
- Leads work cross-functionally as required to resolve work-related incidents, non-compliances, non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions driving continual improvement within the site(s).
- Supports the business with legal and internal auditing programs.
- Actively seeks opportunities for self-development through professional health, safety and environmental organizations, as a champion of emerging trends
About You You’ll be an engaging HSE professional with a focus on people, keen to quickly develop great relationships with your branches, regional leadership and HSE team.
As a member of the senior leadership team you will utilise your industrial HSE knowledge and collaborative and influencing skills to contribute to and drive the successful implementation of HSE strategies To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Diploma or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or degree in related field
- Strong knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
- Proven experience as an HSE Manager or similar role supporting Multi Sites and or Regions
- Exceptional Stakeholder management and the ability to take control and makes this role your own
- Demonstrated safety leadership and ability to work hands-on while providing guidance to HSE resources.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- 25% Travel and availability to be on-site as required.
