About the Role The Regional Manager – Greater Sydney, leads teams that work closely with Aboriginal communities, government agencies, the non-government organisation (NGO) sector, and the private sector to support the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of OCHRE and related initiatives aimed at strengthening Aboriginal communities. The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of OCHRE activities, including project management, stakeholder engagement, coordination, liaison, program delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. In addition, the Regional Manager ensures that projects are aligned with policy objectives, delivered effectively, and achieve measurable outcomes that contribute to long-term community development and capacity building To learn more about the role please review the Role Description.
We’re Looking For
- Leadership and Team Management: Manage and supervise a geographically dispersed team, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of OCHRE-related projects and outcomes for Aboriginal people in NSW, Aboriginal Affairs (AA), and the NSW Government.
- Project and Program Delivery: Lead all aspects of project development and implementation, including project planning, resource coordination, budget management, risk mitigation, and the establishment of monitoring and reporting frameworks.
- Aboriginal Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with Aboriginal governance bodies, Aboriginal leaders, and Aboriginal community organisations to strengthen governance capability and support continuous improvement in local processes and practices.
- Contract and Vendor Management:
Negotiate contracts and oversee the performance of externally sourced providers to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed quality standards, procurement requirements, budgets, and timeframes.
- Partnership and Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships and team-oriented networks across Aboriginal communities, government agencies, NGOs, the private sector, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and implementation outcomes.
- Strategic Advisory and Executive Support: Provide high-level strategic advice, reporting, and project updates to executives, ensuring informed decision-making and that leadership remains fully briefed on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
