About the Role
As a Registered Midwife within our Maternity Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high quality and woman centred care in an acute hospital setting. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive midwifery care, support positive birth experiences and contribute to achieving the best possible outcomes for mothers and newborns.
This rewarding role offers the prospect to utilise and further develop your clinical expertise, critical thinking and problem solving skills while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays, ensuring continuous care for our patients and their families.

About You
You are a passionate and dedicated Registered Midwife committed to delivering exceptional maternity care and supporting women and their families through every stage of their healthcare journey. With current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia,
you bring demonstrated experience providing high-quality care within an acute hospital setting and have the clinical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to changing patient needs.
You possess strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, enabling you to deliver safe, evidence-based care and achieve positive outcomes for women and babies. You are an effective communicator who is confident using electronic health systems and can build positive relationships through your excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Working collaboratively comes naturally to you, and you enjoy partnering with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver patient-centred, outcome-focused care.
What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
