Barry Collins Ward is a dynamic and fast-paced surgical unit caring for patients across a diverse range of specialties. We provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, supporting patients throughout every stage of their surgical journey.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing,
and evaluating nursing care, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will also contribute to a positive and supportive team culture while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality improvement, and clinical excellence.

What you will bring to the role
1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse. Recent experience working in an Intensive Care or Critical Care environment.
3. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
5. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
6. Demonstrated commitment to career development.
7. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
8. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
