About the role

Kingaroy General Practice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Kingaroy General Practice. This is a casual position offering flexibility and variety in a community healthcare setting. Based in Kingaroy, QLD 4610, you will provide essential nursing support to our general practice patients, contributing to high-quality primary healthcare delivery in the region.

Key responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to patients attending the general practice clinic, including assessments, wound management, and patient education
- Administer medications and vaccinations under appropriate clinical direction and in accordance with legislative requirements
- Perform routine clinical observations including vital signs monitoring and basic diagnostic procedures
- Assist practitioners during consultations and minor procedures as required
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Support infection prevention and control measures and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
- Provide compassionate patient support and health promotion advice within the general practice setting
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Assist with recalls and cold chain management

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the APHRA as a Registered Nurse
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A friendly and welcoming Nurse
- Demonstrated experience in general nursing, preferably within a general practice setting
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively




- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide patient-centred care and health education
- Sound knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
- Flexibility and adaptability to varying workloads and patient presentations typical of general practice
- Professional approach to documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare regulations
